Butter infused with colorful nasturtium flowers, perfect to brighten up bread, vegetables, or meats.

Ingredients

  

  • 3 tablespoons nasturtium flowers (chopped; red, yellow, and/or orange)
  • ยฝ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ยฝ cup unsalted butter (room temperature (1 stick))
  • freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

 

  1. Mix nasturtium flowers and salt into butter in a small bowl.
  2. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Place mixture on parchment or waxed paper and roll into a log. Chill until firm, about 1 hour.
  4. Butter can be made up to 2 days ahead. Keep chilled.
