A bright, refreshing smoothie featuring tropical fruit, turmeric, and ginger with a hint of spice.

Ingredients

  

  • 1 blood or navel orange (peeled)
  • 1 large carrot (scrubbed and chopped)
  • ½ cup frozen mango chunks
  • cup coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon shelled raw hemp seeds
  • ¾ teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 ½ teaspoons grated fresh turmeric
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch kosher salt

Instructions

 

  1. Place orange, carrot, mango, coconut water, hemp seeds, ginger, turmeric, cayenne, salt, and ice in a blender.
  2. Blend on smoothie or ice crush setting until smooth.
  3. Serve immediately.

Notes

A pinch of salt enhances the sweetness. Makes about 2 cups.
