Thai Basil Daiquiri

A tropical daiquiri with Thai basil syrup and ginger liqueur.

Ingredients

  

  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • ยฝ ounce ginger liqueur
  • ยฝ ounce Thai basil simple syrup (see below)
  • 1 sprig Thai basil (for garnish)
  • 1 slice lime (for garnish)

Instructions

 

  1. Add all ingredients except garnish to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add ice and shake well.
  3. Strain into a small rocks glass filled with ice.
  4. Garnish with Thai basil sprig and lime slice.
  5. For Thai Basil Syrup: Combine ยฝ cup sugar and ยฝ cup water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until dissolved.
  6. Remove from heat, add 1โ€“2 Thai basil sprigs, and steep for 15โ€“20 minutes. Strain and refrigerate.
