Homemade mustard infused with tarragon, garlic, and mustard seeds for an aromatic, zesty condiment.

Ingredients

  

  • ¼ cup whole yellow mustard seeds (finely ground)
  • ¼ cup mustard powder
  • ¼ cup champagne vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons dried tarragon or 3 tablespoons minced fresh tarragon
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

 

  1. Combine mustard seeds, mustard powder, vinegar, and water in a bowl.
  2. Add sugar, tarragon, garlic, and salt. Stir until blended.
  3. Transfer to a clean jar. Cover and refrigerate for two weeks before using.

Notes

Allow to age for two weeks to develop full flavor. Store refrigerated for several months.
