Tarragon Spiked Lady Grey Iced Tea

Fragrant iced tea with tarragon, bergamot, and lime for an herbal, citrusy refreshment.

Ingredients

  

  • 1 lime zest
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • ½ cup fresh tarragon leaves
  • 4 bags Lady Grey tea
  • 8 cups boiling water

Instructions

 

  1. Combine zest, juice, sugar, and cold water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and let stand uncovered for 15 minutes. Discard zest.
  3. Blend syrup with tarragon for 30 seconds, then strain through a dampened paper towel and cool.
  4. Pour boiling water over tea bags and steep 6 minutes. Remove bags and cool.
  5. Stir syrup into tea and chill 1–6 hours. Serve over ice with lime slices.

Notes

Adjust sweetness to taste. For stronger flavor, steep longer before chilling.
