Ingredients

  

  • 2 tablespoons annatto seeds
  • ¾ cup olive oil

Instructions

 

  1. Heat seeds and oil over low heat, swirling, until oil turns bright red-orange and just simmers (~2 minutes). Remove from heat; stand 10 minutes.
  2. Strain through a fine sieve; discard seeds. Store covered and chilled.

Notes

Keeps indefinitely refrigerated.
