A versatile, creamy vinaigrette featuring basil and tarragon — perfect for tossing with greens or drizzling over grilled vegetables.

Ingredients

  

  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh tarragon
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

 

  1. Combine vinegar, mustard, basil, and tarragon in a bowl.
  2. Whisk in mayonnaise until smooth.
  3. Gradually whisk in olive oil until fully incorporated and the dressing is creamy.
  4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Chill before serving. Stir before use.

Notes

Delicious on green salads, potato salads, or as a dip for fresh vegetables. Adjust herbs to taste.
