Tangy Hibiscus-Lime Iced Tea

A refreshing iced tea brewed with dried hibiscus flowers and balanced with tangy lime syrup. Perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • ¾ cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 8 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes (for serving)
  • Zest of 1 lime (for syrup)

Instructions
 

  1. Bring sugar, warm water, and lime zest to a boil. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes. Strain into a measuring cup to make lime syrup.
  2. Bring cold water and hibiscus flowers to a boil in a large saucepan. Remove from heat and steep for 20 minutes. Chill.
  3. Strain hibiscus tea into a pitcher. Stir in 1/2 cup lime syrup, or to taste. Serve over ice cubes.

Notes

Substitute dried rose hips or hibiscus herbal tea blends if dried hibiscus flowers are unavailable.
