A warming spiced green tea with ginger, citrus zest, cardamom, and honey. Perfect for cozy evenings or soothing a cold.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 sticks cinnamon (3 inches each)
  • 4 bags green tea (or equivalent loose green tea leaves)
  • ½ teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot
  • ½ teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 4 pods cardamom, crushed
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cinnamon, tea, gingerroot, lemon zest, and cardamom pods.
  2. Add boiling water. Cover and steep for 5–6 minutes.
  3. Strain, discarding tea bags and spices.
  4. Stir honey into tea and serve immediately.

Notes

Best served hot. Adjust honey to taste for desired sweetness.
