Cook Time 4 minutes
RECIPE CATEGORY: Beverages
HERB: Tamarind
KEYWORDS: fruit, steep, strain, tangy, water

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup boiling water
  • 1 heaping tablespoon lump tamarind ((1 oz/28 g))

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water over lump tamarind.
  2. Leave to soften for a minute, then stir and mash the tamarind.
  3. Let steep for 3 to 4 minutes longer, then stir again or mash with fingers to loosen pulp from seeds and fibers.
