Up To Date Poppy Seed and Lemon Balm Dressing
A sweet, tangy dressing made with lemon balm, poppy seeds, and onion, perfect for fresh fruit and green salads.

Ingredients
⅓
cup
white wine vinegar
½
cup
powdered sugar

teaspoon
dry mustard
1
teaspoon
salt
½
cup
coarsely chopped onion
1
cup
salad oil
2
tablespoons
lemon balm leaves
(chopped, firmly packed)
1
tablespoon
poppy seed
Instructions
Combine sugar, mustard, salt, onions, and half of the vinegar in a blender. Blend well.
Gradually add oil, alternating with the remaining vinegar, and blend until a stable emulsion is formed.
Add lemon balm and poppy seeds. Pulse to quickly blend.
Store in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
Serve over fresh fruit with salad greens or in a glass bowl as a sweet salad.
Notes
