Tamarind Pulp
Use as a tangy ingredient in curries and peanut sauce.

lump tamarind
((3 oz/85 g))

water
Instructions
Break up lump tamarind and combine with 1 cup water in a saucepan.
Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring often, until the tamarind is soft and mixture has thickened.
Press pulp through a sieve and discard fibers and seeds.
Notes
Use tamarind pulp in sauces, marinades, and curries for a tart, fruity flavor.
