potatoes, peeled and sliced

chopped fresh rosemary leaves

butter
(divided)
freshly ground black pepper

milk or half-and-half

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Butter a large baking dish.
Layer half the potatoes in the dish. Top with half the rosemary, 1/4 cup butter, pepper, 1/2 cup milk, flour, and salt.
Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
Cover and bake for 45–60 minutes until potatoes are tender. Uncover and bake 15–20 minutes more to brown the top.
