Geri’s Good-on-Anything Cranberry Chutney
Sweet-tart cranberry chutney with apples, raisins, vinegar, fresh ginger, and curry—delicious on poultry, pork, or sandwiches.

Ingredients

water

sugar

tablespoons
molasses
2
large Granny Smith apples, sliced and diced
12
ounces
fresh cranberries
1
cup
raisins
⅓
cup
red wine vinegar
2
tablespoons
fresh gingerroot, finely minced
2
teaspoons
hot curry powder
1
teaspoon
salt
⅓
teaspoon
Tabasco sauce
Instructions
Bring water and sugar to a boil in a heavy saucepan. Simmer until sugar dissolves.
Add molasses and apples. Bring back to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes until apples are tender.
Add cranberries, raisins, vinegar, ginger, curry powder, salt, and Tabasco. Stir to combine.
Return to a boil. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Store in covered jars in the refrigerator.
Note: Keeps up to a year under refrigeration.
