Cardamom Apples with Bay Leaf Cream
Warm cardamom-spiced apples paired with softly infused bay leaf cream.
Ingredients
apples, sliced
sugar or honey
ground cardamom (or lightly crushed pods)
heavy cream
2–3
leaf
bay leaves
Instructions
Simmer apples with a little sugar and cardamom until tender.
Gently warm cream with bay leaves; steep 20–30 minutes and strain.
Serve warm apples with bay-infused cream spooned over.
Notes
Keep cream just below a simmer to avoid curdling; adjust sweetness to taste.
