Sweet Herbal Cheese
A creamy and lightly sweetened herbal cheese spread featuring lemon balm, orange zest, and crystallized ginger.

Ingredients

ounces
cream cheese
(softened)
4
ounces
unsalted butter
(softened)
2
tablespoons
orange zest
(finely chopped, orange portion only)
orange juice
(to thin to desired consistency)
2–3
tablespoons
honey
¼
cup
toasted pecans, pistachios, or almonds
(coarsely chopped)

tablespoons
crystallized ginger
(finely chopped)
2
tablespoons
fresh lemon balm
(finely chopped)
2
tablespoons
fresh orange mint
(finely chopped)
¼
teaspoon
salt
(as needed)
Instructions
Combine cream cheese in an electric mixer or mix with a fork or spatula until smooth.
Add butter and combine well.
Stir in orange zest, orange juice, honey, nuts, ginger, lemon balm, orange mint, and salt.
Serve on fruit or as a topping for plain cake or nut breads.
Can also be used as a filling for layer cakes or fancy tea sandwiches.
