Notes
Use this herb, with mints, in making a mint tea. In the past calendula was used as an aid to beautify the complexion, and it is said to be healing to the heart and good for the spirit. Calendula officinalis is a small-flowered, Mediterranean plant from which the large-flowered garden hybrids came. Both make a good tea and add bright color to herbal mixtures. Dry calendula blossoms all through the summer and even into late fall, for they often bloom after frost has killed every other flower.
